World Creativity & Innovation Day

April 21st which is designated by the United Nations as World Creativity and Innovation Day aims to raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in human development. The UN invites the world to celebrate and promote disruptive innovation which is essential for radical economic transformation.

According to the United Nations, Innovation, creativity and mass entrepreneurship can provide new momentum for economic growth and job creation. It can expand opportunities for everyone, including women and youth. It can provide solutions to some of the most pressing problems such as poverty eradication and the elimination of hunger.

We believe that both creativity and innovation will play a fundamental role in the realization of Qatar’s National Vision 2030. The national vision is made of four pillars: Human Development, Social Development, Economic Development and Environmental Development. Now more than ever, it is important to invest in infrastructure that will promote development in all these areas. At Workinton Qatar, we are proud to provide workspace solutions that enable the citizens and residents of the state of Qatar to work collectively to advance the economy towards the realization of national goals.

Through Workinton M7, we have created a unique workspace curated for creative souls with entrepreneurial minds. Workinton M7 is working towards cultivating an environment for creative startups. We aim to redefine the creative startup ecosystem in Qatar.

On creativity and innovation, Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, says that “When Qatar Museums created M7, our vision was to support and encourage the growth of the creative industries in Qatar by providing a hub for our talents in fashion, design, tech development, and more. M7 combines culture and entrepreneurship. At Workinton M7, our emerging creative leaders will find first-class resources, a dynamic community, and an inspiring environment.”

Here’s to more creativity and innovation. To quote George Kneller “Creativity consists largely of rearranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know. Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted.”
